Welcome to Alpacas of Dancing Meadows Farm! Owners are Jenny & Jim Kirk, we're just north of Goldendale Washington. Jenny grew up with exposure to farm life, while Jim was a City dweller. Well, Jenny changed that for JIm. Before he knew it, he was involved with horses! Now, look at us...we're living the 'good life' in the country with our alpacas, horses, dogs, cats and turtles! (Yep, I said turtles!!) We started our alpaca farm by purchasing our first 5 huacaya females in 2007. Two of these females were pregnant, two were crias and one was almost ready for breeding. Our original goal was to focus on primarily 'white' alpacas having Accoyo and fine fleeced pedigrees. We have since grown to include colored alpacas in our breeding program. We've continued to focus our efforts toward fine, dense fleeced colored alpacas, too. This also brought about the purchase of Hemingway's Hemi-Accoyo Bravado. Bravado is a medium fawn herdsire that throws gorgeous fine, dense, crimpy and often color, when bred to white, in his offspring. Not only that, he also tends to improve upon each dam with his crias being truly amazing as the outcome! We started looking around for an even darker colored herdsire when we purchased our medium brown herdsire. Introducing Moonshadow's Fury's Reign! Reign has exquisite fleece, having the quality of white fleece in a dark color. Reign's pedigree includes CCNF Andean Fury as his sire and Snowmass Andean Bronze as his grandsire. On his dam's side is the great Evander as is his grandsire. We've bred Reign to three of our dams, now we wait! We're anxiously awaiting his offspring!! Going back to white, we got the opportunity to purchase Velvet's Accoyo Alexander the Great, yes! Who we now co-own him with The Alpaca Group. Alexander the Great was producing elite-fleeced offspring before all breeders were aware of it! Alex has maintained low histograms into his mid-life, he is an exceptional herdsire. AND, TA DA...we now own Janus' Ducati, a Black, to our herdsire row. Ducati's pedigree is a 'who's who' of Champions! Ducati boasts Snowmass Sterling Legend as his sire, who is no longer in the US--Germany grabbed him up...& Preimier's Adriana as his dam--one of Preimier's fineness dams. Ducati's fleece proudly exhibits the same density, fineness, well organized, bright and high frequency crimp that his sire and dam are famous for! Ducati's one year histogram demonstrates consistency at 18.7, 3.6, 19.5 and 1.5! This is your opportunity to add these powerful genetics to your breeding program! We are a small farm that's in the process of growing and building. Because we are small, we spend lots of time getting to know and to work with our alpacas. We love helping other breeders and introducing folks to alpacas. The alpaca industry is exciting, fun and still has plenty of room for growth!

Thoughts on America:
America's strength is in her people. The more we can produce, grow, raise and sell ourselves only helps to secure our overall economic future in the USA and the world.
