  Patti Fortuna-Stannard and her husband Paul are third generation sausage makers. Originally from Rhode Island, they relocated to Sandgate, Vermont in 2009. They use the same recipes as Patti's grandparents; who emigrated from Calabria Italy in the early 1900's. Paul, the sausage master has even come up with a few specialties of his own over the years! Patti & Paul pride themselves on true, old world, Italian sausages and salami's; handcrafted, using only the finest ingredients and unique old world drying process. The result is lean and delicious artisan dry cured sausages that are all natural and nitrate free. Fortuna's sausages have been named "America's Best, aged like a fine wine." from the Los Angeles Times. Since living in Vermont, Patti and Paul have incorporated local ingredients and spices into the sausages. They have started with all natural, free range pork from local VT farmers and will only continue to develop their local, all natural products further. Patti and Paul will help you prepare for the upcoming holidays with simple and delectable recipes & ingredients from their kitchen to yours.
