She later attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in Communication Art, minoring in Creative Writing, and graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1984. Jean has worked as a graphic designer, copywriter and illustrator in Rochester, NY, since 1983. She began her career as Art Director for a small marketing consulting agency with big clients, such as Eastman Kodak Company and the American Society of Association Executives. After five years there, she founded her own company, and branched out with a specialty in graphic design and illustration for the small to medium-sized organization. For a five year span, from 2000 to 2005, she also worked as the Communications Coordinator for one of her clients, the Regional Center for Independent Living . . . but still maintained her freelance business, now in its 23rd year. Web design and development was added to the services offered, in 2006. Jean’s proficiencies are in html, css, and php code, and she is fluent in Dreamweaver and the Adobe Creative Suite programs, as well as WordPress. Her company, currently under the name of Grover Web and Design, has won several awards in the Rochester Area Printing Week Competition. She is listed in a number of online directories. Jean is enthusiastically involved in her community, along with her husband and 4 children. An individual with a disability since birth, she is always willing to round out her schedule with public speaking engagements and civil rights activism.

Thoughts on America:
In the words of John F. Kennedy: "Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future." This is the greatest country in the world; we have been inspired by boundless opportunities here! Small businesses are the barometer for guaging where we are headed: toward better lives for all Americans!
